Black leather Gerard Vollenbrock 'first design' armchair

Very rare and special, adjustable chrome armchair with model number 4635f in black leather by Gerard Vollenbrock. This lounge chair was designed in 1981 under the appropriate model name “First Design” for Gelderland. The chair has an adjustable backrest for extra comfort. The design language of this chair continued in the 4735 armchair for Gelderland, which was produced from 1985. Vollenbrock's 4635f was his first design, as was his first design for Gelderland. The armchair (including the accompanying footstool) was presented at the international (Zevi) Arredamenti fair in Utrecht in 1981 and was in production near Gelderland until 1983. The chair is in very good condition with minor signs of wear, commensurate with its age.
