Mid-century desk by Georg Petersen, 60s

A floating desk with a cantilevered support base, designed by Georg Petersens for Georg Petersens Mobelfabrik in Denmark. Dating from circa 1960, it is crafted from rosewood with a beautiful grain, finely detailed with a continuous grain pattern across the drawer fronts and along the top and side edges.

The architecturally designed, sturdy desktop features three drawers with square handles. The desktop appears to float on the elegant legs, creating an attractive symmetry. The wood has a beautiful finish and patina.

The desk is in good vintage condition with a ring mark and light wear on the top surface (see photos).
