Brown Louis Kalff Romeo desk lamp for Philips, 1960s

Romeo desk lamp produced for Philips in the 1960s. Round, dark brown lacquered metal base with an integrated switch. Cast iron counterweight in the base. Dark brown aluminum lampshade in a mushroom or UFO style with a hole in the center. Philips logo stamped into the base. White lacquered on the inside with a Philips brand sticker. Bent brass rod and components. The Philips Romeo desk lamp is based on a 1950s design, the Junior desk lamp. It is its successor.
